Questions
Every question here came from a real conversation with a program director or coordinator, answered the way we’d answer it on a call — including the two where the answer is “no”.

The first thing every program director asks, so it goes first.
Adapt is free for your program — instructor, admin, and clinical accounts cost nothing, with no seat counts and no per-instructor licensing.
Students purchase their own access directly, and your program gets the full portal and analytics either way. There’s no procurement cycle to start.
An admin invites students by email, students sign up and pay on the web, and they receive an access code to redeem in the mobile app.
Redeeming the code connects them to your organization and your courses.
Clinical and rotational accounts are free and aren’t priced per seat, so turnover you don’t control doesn’t cost you anything.
What changes for your faculty, and what doesn’t.
No — Adapt runs alongside the LMS you already use, with no migration and no course rebuild.
You upload the material you already teach from; nothing moves out of Canvas.
Days, not semesters.
Upload a lecture, review what Adapt drafts, upload your roster from a CSV, and students can start — there’s no implementation project and no new system for your faculty to learn. The product page walks through each step.
Who is in charge of what students see.
You do — nothing reaches a student until an instructor has reviewed and approved it in Course Studio.
Adapt drafts the lessons; you can edit any card, regenerate any lesson, or discard the plan and re-cut it.
No — Adapt’s formats require the student to act, not to write.
Ordering steps, matching concepts, and deciding under time pressure produce nothing a chatbot can answer on their behalf — which is also why the responses are a real signal about what the student knows.
Three to five minutes.
Short daily sets are designed to fit between clinicals and shifts, on the phone the student already carries, rather than competing with a forty-minute desktop module.
The questions your IT department and your dean will ask.
Your uploaded file is processed and then deleted — it’s never written to a database and never retained by the model provider.
Files under 20MB are held in memory only; larger files go to a private bucket and are deleted the moment the run ends. What persists is the course you approved and your students’ responses. Full detail on the security page.
No — we are not SOC 2 certified, no audit is underway, and we hold no FERPA, COPPA, HIPAA or GDPR attestation.
We do have a FERPA Data Processing Addendum drafted for institutional agreements, and we list everything we don’t yet have on the security page so it doesn’t surface mid-procurement.
Not yet — we have no signed institutional customer and no pass-rate study, and we’re not going to imply otherwise.
What we can do is build one of your lessons into an Adapt course before a call, so you’re judging your own material rather than a claim.
If your IT department has a question this page doesn’t cover, the security page goes further — including a list of what we don’t claim yet. For anything else, ask us directly.
The fastest way to answer the questions this page can’t is to see your own material running in Adapt. That’s what a demo is.
